Website design & development

A website that does the selling before the phone rings.

We design and build fast, custom websites planned around the questions your customers ask, the doubts that stop them, and the one thing you want them to do next. AI helps us research and build efficiently. Experienced people make every decision that matters.

What every page we build is planned to do
  1. Answers “am I in the right place?” in the first few seconds.
  2. Makes the next step obvious on every screen, without pressure.
  3. Puts proof next to the decision, not on a page nobody visits.
  4. Loads quickly on a phone and tracks every enquiry.

Signs your website is costing you business

Most underperforming websites don’t look broken. They simply fail to answer the right questions at the right moment, so visitors leave without saying why.

  • People visit, then call a competitor instead.
  • It looks dated or slow on a phone, so you hesitate before sending anyone to it.
  • Nobody can say how many enquiries it produces each month.
  • It explains what you do, but not why someone should choose you.
  • Changing a sentence means emailing a developer and waiting.
  • Your adverts send people to a homepage that has nothing to do with what they searched for.

A good website is judged by what visitors do next.

Trust, quickly

Visitors decide within moments whether you look credible. Clear positioning, real proof and a professional finish do that work for you.

Fewer unanswered doubts

Price, process, timing and “is this right for me?” A site that addresses these clearly attracts better-informed enquiries and fewer unqualified ones.

Enquiries you can count

Forms, calls and bookings are tracked from day one, so you can see what the website brings in and where improvements would pay off.

What’s included

The exact scope depends on your project and is set out in your proposal. These are the foundations we bring to every website we build.

Strategy and copy

  • Discovery session about your business, customers and competitors
  • Page structure planned around the questions buyers ask
  • Clear, specific copy written for you, or your own copy edited
  • A deliberate next step on every page

Design

  • Custom design that fits your brand, not a reskinned template
  • Layouts designed for phones first, then larger screens
  • Readable type, accessible colour and visible focus states
  • Key pages designed in full for your feedback before we build

Build

  • Fast-loading pages and optimised images
  • Search-friendly foundations: titles, headings, structured data, sitemap
  • Enquiry forms that reach your inbox, with spam protection
  • A content management system that suits how you work

Launch and measurement

  • Analytics and enquiry tracking configured before launch
  • Testing across devices, browsers and forms
  • Redirects from old pages to protect existing search rankings
  • A walkthrough so you can update the site yourself

It’s yours. You own the finished website: the design, the content and the code.

Where AI fits in

Faster on the groundwork. Careful on everything else.

We use AI tools for the parts of a project that benefit from speed and breadth: summarising your reviews and competitors’ sites to find what buyers care about, drafting first versions of copy for us to rewrite, scaffolding routine code and running repetitive checks.

It doesn’t replace design judgement, and it never publishes anything. A person writes, reviews and signs off every page.

To be clear about it: AI does not make a website better on its own. Strategy, user experience and careful execution do. AI simply gives us more time to spend on them.

From first conversation to launch

You will know what is happening at each stage, and nothing goes live until you have approved it.

  1. Discovery

We learn about your business, customers, competitors and goals, and review your current site and analytics if you have them.

  2. Structure and copy

We plan each page around the questions buyers ask and agree the copy before design starts, so the design serves the message.

  3. Design

You see the key pages designed in full before we build, with time to give feedback and refine them.

  4. Build

We develop the site, connect forms and tracking, and set up the content management you will use day to day.

  5. Test and launch

We check real devices and browsers, speed and accessibility, set up redirects from old pages, then launch carefully and watch closely afterwards.

Questions about website projects

Want to talk it through? Call 07473 910301.

How much does a website cost?

It depends on what the site needs to do. A focused service website and a booking or e-commerce platform are very different projects. After the consultation we send a written proposal with the scope and the price, so you know the cost before any work starts.

How long does it take?

That depends on the size of the site and how quickly content and feedback come together. Your proposal includes a timeline, agreed with you before we begin, and we keep you updated as we go.

Do I own the website?

Yes. The design, the content and the code belong to you. If you ever decide to move on, you take everything with you.

Which platform will you build on?

Whichever suits how you will run the site. That is often WordPress for sites you want to edit yourself, Shopify or WooCommerce for selling online, and a custom build when you need something specific. We explain the trade-offs, including any ongoing licence or plugin costs, before you decide.

What about hosting, domains and other running costs?

Hosting, domain names and paid plugins or services are third-party costs. We list them in the proposal so nothing comes as a surprise, and we can advise on hosting or work with your existing provider.

Will a redesign hurt my Google rankings?

Not if it is handled carefully. We map your existing pages, keep valuable addresses where we can and redirect the rest, so search engines and visitors are sent to the right new page.

Can you write the content?

Yes. We can write the copy from scratch, edit what you already have or work from your notes. Clear copy is part of how we plan the site, not something added at the end.

Do I need a full rebuild?

Not always. Sometimes improving a handful of key pages delivers most of the benefit at a fraction of the cost. We will recommend the option that delivers the best return, even when it is the smaller project.

What happens after launch?

Support, updates and further improvements are available after launch. We agree what that looks like as part of your proposal, so you know who to call and what it costs.
